Reform Bangladesh

In August 2024, Bangladesh experienced a defining moment as students and citizens united to protest against the oppressive regime. The government responded with extreme violence, deploying armed forces that fired live ammunition, launched tear gas, and injured many innocent protesters. During this dark time, volunteers from Eco Combatant risked their lives to assist the protesters, offering vital support despite the dangers.

Eco Combatant’s volunteers took to the streets, providing food, water, and essential medical assistance to the injured protesters. Many protesters had been wounded by gunfire, tear gas, and rubber bullets. Volunteers worked in the thick of the violence, often under fire, to ensure that those on the frontlines had the resources they needed to continue their fight for democracy.

In addition to the immediate aid, Eco Combatant also participated in the restoration of areas affected by the protests. After the protests led to the fall of the oppressive regime and ushered in reforms, the volunteers helped repair the vandalized streets and walls. Their efforts not only symbolized the physical rebuilding of the city but also a renewed sense of hope and determination for a democratic Bangladesh. Through these acts of bravery and compassion, Eco Combatant demonstrated its unwavering commitment to social justice and the well-being of the Bangladeshi people.
